Lighting an interior set with no windows typically comes with the challenge known as, "how should we light this thing?". Luckily the lighting team and I didn't need to do much as there were two circular, articulating lights that hung from the ceiling. They looked great on camera and provided enough light to kick off the white sheets of the operating table to give a pleasant uplight for the closeup
We filmed this scene on an overcast December day in Illinois. My Gaffer, Kris Gordon, placed an Arri M18 behind a diffusion frame outside the window, bringing up the ambient levels in the room and providing a directional soft light.
